Every year we go to the local show. Every year we wonder why. Kel's parents have been judges forever and so we've always been given free tickets. The children always have a ball and Kel and I are always fascinated at the 'carnies' who travel from town to town successfully selling their crap to fools like us. I can never resist the Cadbury or Snakes Alive showbags and the kids spend their inheritance on Military style plastic weapons or Mega War Head showbags. This year Bella was very excited about the whole thing, and apart from the sewerage spill in sideshow alley (I'm not kidding), it was otherwise bearable.
Here are a few happy snaps of Bella and Dad on the superslide and Bella and Patty on one of the rides.
Thank God it's over for another year.. Do you have a 'show' story to tell?

Do we have a story to tell? Come on....raw sewrage? HOw can one beat that? You really must elaborate.....
The toilets overflowed and "apparently" the Show Society believe they were sabotaged by those who don't want the show in its current place. I think that perhaps it has more to do with the fact that 60 000 people converge on the place in under 4 days..let alone the carnies. So as a result, the sewerage pit overflowed all over the ground in front of about 10 different food vans and rides..so you can imagine the smell. Pretty foul now I think of it...
Well why doesn't it surprise me that there is sewerage in the side show? The only good thing about shows is fairy floss - because you know what you are getting. I'm happy to miss the rides/hotdogs/showbags/flu when I know someone can get me a bag of floss. Loved the photo of bella on the big slide though. How did she cope with the noises???
